  • This area is where the Hobbs always put up their Christmas tree.  The windows are pocket windows which slide down into the wall.  Unfortunately, none of them are functional anymore so they remain closed.  Wish the beadboard was still there but it is not.  In this photo, the livingroom ceiling has already been dropped a foot because of the addition (enclosed porch).
  • A Day in the 'Summer House'
  • This house looks so different because the porch hasn't been closed in yet.  The screen door was hand built.  I ended up replacing it because it was falling apart and couldn't be repaired.  The shingles are natural color, they hadn't been painted yet.  The little girl, Ann, with the big bow is celebrating her 3rd birthday.  She is the grand daughter of Charles Hobbs.
